*As the New Year Approaches...*

As the new year approaches, recall your favorite joys, sorrows, and weeping past year of 2013. We have all gained and lost a lot. We have made new friends, commitments, and everlasting memories. It was a hard year, but now we must move on. Take this day as the only day to reminisce with the past 365 days. Laugh a little, cry a lot, and rejoice in peace. Make new resolutions and this your best year yet! Let go of the negative energy in your lives and welcome the positive. Many of us will be with our loved ones, working, or alone. If you're alone, pick up that phone and make it a point to go out! This is the first time in my life, that I will work through the New Year, but who cares! I vow to make the best of it. Take a breath, take a chance, take a step forward, and make this the best year of your life! Remember, you only live once.

*Should Women and Men fight One Another in Any Violent Sport?*

No! Women and men are built differently and it's not only insane, but physically dangerous. Most of the time, men overpower women. They have always hunt and preyed since the beginning of time, while women were the nurturers. Unless a female is taking extra hormones, there is no way she can beat a man in the ring without injury. It goes against nature and genetics. This is a free country and females can try, but they will endure physical injuries.

*How to Adapt to a New Puppy*

If the opportunity arises, take it. I've wanted a new dog forever! My wish came true last night. Her name is Athena and she is 5 weeks old. As soon as I saw her photo, I fell in love. If I didn't take her, I'm not sure where she would end up. I've never owned a puppy in my life, so I didn't know what to do. Thankfully, my boyfriend has had them in his life forever, so he's able to train me. We already have a cat, so I'm glad that we're taking her in small. That way, Max can get used to her and vice versa. I've always loved animals and once dreamed of becoming a vet. They've always soothed my soul. Athena is currently in the potty training process, but is accustoming well. I'm proud of her. She knows what she can and can't chew on and if there is an issue, I'm sure we can fix it. The purpose of my post is, that if you get a new dog, make sure you introduce it to other dogs and children. That way, it knows to be playful and not attack others. Athena is a baby, so she can be trained, which is awesome. She is so heartwarming and I'm looking forward to our future together.

*Give Someone Something to Remember the Cheer in the Holiday Season*

A friend of mine mentioned a valuable point about the holidays. No one takes the time to write out Christmas Cards anymore. Instead, they go online and send virtual greetings. What happened to the tradition of wishing everyone a happy holiday season? My family has been sharing Christmas Cards for the past 24 years of my life. I love the cheerfulness and grace. I thinks it's important for someone to buy a card or make one and send them out. It's a special gift that comes from the heart. I know everyone is busy and time is running out, but don't forget how special it is for people to remember how you feel about them. Get out and change the virtual tradition! Send a real card like old times.

*Some Great Holiday Suggestions*

Are you looking for a convenient way to shop this holiday season? If you have a big family like me, you might opt to do a secret Santa (even though I never end up doing it), which consists of picking a name out of a hat, shopping for that one person, and that results in saving money. It's a lot of fun and I do something like it every year with a bunch of ladies. It's convenient and allows friends to spend time together. If you're in a money jam this year and love to bake, make some cup cakes or cookies and wrap them up for your friends and family. It's not the value of the gift that counts, but the thought itself. If you decide to buy a tree this year and run out of hooks for the tree, you don't have to run out and buy them. You might think I'm nuts, but use ribbon. It doesn't only work, but makes the tree look spectacular. Also, as I've mentioned in previous posts, scrapbook! It's so much fun and memorable because it comes from the heart. Happy Holidays to you all! Hope you have a spectacular time.

*What's Your Favorite Thing About the Holiday Season?*

My favorite holiday has always been Christmas. I love the fresh smell of pine and sweet smell of love. Since I live in South Florida, I have experienced many diverse Christmas.' The one thing I miss about up north is the chance of a white Christmas. The crisp smell of snow and marshmallow's soaking in hot chocolate are indescribable. The most important thing I miss is having my entire family together during the holidays. You appreciate your family and friends the most when you're separated. There is nothing like watching Home Alone reruns with an older cousin. Most of all, the seven fishes, the way Nonna makes them is unreplaceable. So, for all of you who take these moments for granted, I envy you. Make sure this holiday season is a little different. Appreciate what you have and share your favorite things at dinner time.

*Proof that Reality TV Shows Are Phony*

Maury:

The Test:
Ok everyone, I have to admit that I watch Maury, The Test, and The Steve Wilkos show. In fact, I record them all on my DVR and browse through the drama. I love it! I don't have drama in my own life, so I find the drama in these shows extremely entertaining. Unfortunately, I was browsing through today's episode of The Test: Season 1, Episode 63: "Is my 27-year-old boyfriend Cheating," and noticed the couple looked extremely familiar. Clara, 52 and Barry, 27 both believe they're cheating on one another. At first, I didn't think anything of the familiarity. I kept watching the show and the host introduced Princess, Barry's mother. Immediately, a spark went off in my mind. I thought, "Oh my god! This couple was on Maury for the same reason!" I googled their names and sure enough, they were on Season 22, episode 30 of Maury: "You're 52 ... Stop Sleeping With Our 27-Year-Old Son!" Both shows aired exactly one month apart. What a coincidence! Or is it? Either this couple has a fake story or both shows are scripted and phony. I pay attention to every detail in every show. I have caught celebrities wearing the same outfit on two different shows and genres on the same day. In fact, I pointed that out and it was a coincidence, but not this. These episodes were aired on purpose, but are the producers aware of the slip? Probably not! Today, everyone will see the dirty truth that exists in our society.

**Maybe I will Include this in My Book**

Distasteful memories cleanse my cheeks. I recall every lie that wasted at my feet. My heart began to beat an irregular beat. My face was drenched in impeccable heat. Why did we have to meet? It was the day we were introduced that gave me a boost. His smile was full of charm, his gaze-penetrating. That was what did the most harm. As I gave him a kiss on both cheeks, an electric shock kissed my lips. I felt it all beneath my hips. My body began to twist.... With it all.... I began to fall.... And that was all....

*What Type of Wedding Proposal Do You Dream Of?*

Every type of proposal should be filled with love and happiness. All girls expect a dreamy proposal, but they don't always end that way. So, if there any gentlemen reading this, take notes. When a man asks a woman to marry him, it should be special. I'm not saying it has to be romantic, but it's definitely a plus. Personally, I've never been proposed to, but I've heard of proposals gone bad. If you want to marry someone, make sure that you've discussed if with that person in the past. Some people don't enjoy or want proposals, so they may turn you down. If you propose in front of a million people, make sure the other person is ready because there is nothing like embarrassment. If you're a timid person, work on it, because that special other is everything. Personally, I would never marry a man who hands me a box and stays silent until I open it. I want my engagement memorable. Surprises are everything no matter what anyone says. Don't hand your significant other a box and wait for them to ask you what it is. Chances are, they won't marry you. If you've been with someone for over 5 years and won't ask them to marry you, then you have commitment issues. Take that step, it's now or never. Don't write a corny poem unless you want to be laughed at. Make sure you don't stutter. If you can't marry the person, don't ask them. There's nothing more hurtful or embarrassing than being left at the alter. Also, women, don't say yes unless you mean it!!!! Most people only want to be married once, so that engagement should be everything. I'm not attempting to pressure anyone, but I'm being realistic. Nothing is better than the truth. So, I hope you take my pointers and my discouragement seriously. Take that chance and do it the right way! I wish you all nothing, but true love, happiness, and health for the rest of your lives.

*Scrapbooking- The Greatest Gift*

Whether it's for your own keepsake or for someone special, a scrapbook is the most memorable gift anyone can receive. If you don't want to hold onto a mess of keepsakes, a scrapbook puts all of your memories together. Some people may have trouble deciding where to start, but honestly it doesn't matter. You have a bunch of cuts and decisions and once every thought is organized, it will look amazing. You can get scrapbooks at target, tjmaxx, Marshall's, etc. Once you separate all of the necessary material, you can scrapbook a million things. In the photo above, I did birthday cards. I save everything and feel like the process is soothing to the mind. If you're stressed, this is the best therapy.

*Message to All My Blog Readers*

I never noticed how many people read my posts. Don't get me wrong, the whole purpose of creating a blog was for followers. I never thought I would see 4,336 people reading my blogs. I have supporters all over the country! I can't narrow down one state. Social media amazes me. So, when all my motivation seemed minuscule, you've inspired me to continue. By the way, I've never credited my photos. I've found them all on google images. I'd like to take the opportunity and mention that. Thank you all for your continuous support. Thank you for making me smile and bringing hope to my day! I'm speechless.

*What to do when you're struggling with your dreams*

As I keep contemplating what to do with my life, the struggles become intense and real. I went to school, I graduated college, I got TEFL certified, and I've officially applied for my educator's certificate. There are so many things I wish to do with my life and the restraints become tighter. I know that I've attempted to do all I can to have my dreams come true. Unfortunately, the barriers become clearer. I apply for jobs that correlate with my career plans every day. I have more than one professional résumé and the tasks are easy, but difficult. Unfortunately, my dreams become clouded with unrealistic job descriptions or I never hear a reply. I've been told to never give up and I won't, but how much can a person take before they break down? Some people don't realize how difficult it truly is. I continue to pursue my goals, but my motivation slowly decreases. I begin to think if this life or lifestyle is my future and it terrifies me. I am far from negative and I want everything I deserve, but it's hard. I continue to follow the path and believe and find the strength to occupy my mind. Currently, I've given up on writing my book, my passion, my inspiration, everything that I want because of recent unfortunate events. I understand that I shouldn't sulk in pity or have pity for myself, but the journey is real. It's the most difficult point of my life. The only person that could help me through this point is myself. At times, I yearn for success, but when I continue to reach disappointment, it takes me to a terrible, empty, place. Everyone wants to grow up and initiate a career. My advice to them is to stay young and enjoy every second. Evaluate your goals and aspirations. Make sure that they're realistic and possible. I know that nothing is impossible, but realism is the best perspective. Never ever give up no matter what happens. It's okay to take a break, but never allow it to take over your goals. Where do you go from here? Where do I go? I never give up and keep trying because that is all I can do. My life will succeed and my purpose on this earth will be meaningful.

*Today, I am Thankful for...*

Today is the 14th day of gratitude. On this day, I am grateful for my parents. They have supported me in everything I do and have encouraged me to pursue a strong education. Seperately, they have both taught me different values and beliefs. If it weren't for them, I would have never been able to achieve any of my dreams. They have both demonstrated the importance of hard work and how it pays off. I am thankful that they never gave up on me and always are there when I need a shoulder to lean on. My parents aren't the most perfect people in the world, but they are mine. I admire them for their strengths and weaknesses and wouldn't change my life in any way. I love them both. Xoxoxox

*Would You Ever Give Up Your Homeland?*

We all have hopes, dreams, and a variety of diverse aspirations. Every individual country is unique and has it's perfections and flaws. As a daughter and granddaughter to Italian immigrants, I am thrilled beyond belief to have been born in a country that they fought so hard to call their own. The United States of America, my homeland, is the best country in the world. Yes, it may be sliding down, but our laws are the strongest that exist on the planet. Every American born citizen is a seed of a land of opportunity. Today, I read that Tina Turner renounced her American Citizenship. That is one of the toughest decisions in the world. How could an individual abandon their rights to the land they were born in? My father and grandparents were forced to choose America when they settled here. In 2013, we have more choices of freedom. I'm sure Turner has her reasons, but it's left me speechless. What would you do? I could never abandon my homeland. I hope many of you feel the same.

*The Fortune Behind the Fortune Cookie*

Well, today I received a fortune cookie much like every time that I enjoy Chinese food. It triggered something in my brain that caused me to ponder about the meaning of the message. How many fortune cookies are opened each day? Probably, a lot. What is the purpose of the message. Well, if you think about it, it's there to make everyone's day a little brighter and maybe it can change a life. Imagine someone who is extremely depressed and opens a cookie that thrusts them to smile. That one little word or saying brightened that persons day. If you're lucky, you may get the same one more than once. What does that mean to you? Fortune cookies don't actually tell the future, but they cause people to ponder about their circumstances. I always love opening a cookie and learning a phrase I may have never known before. So, the next time you see anyone that's depressed, toss them a cookie. You may turn their day upside down. Never hesitate to read the little message. It could brighten your smile!

*Veteran's Day- In Loving Memory*

Today, we recall all of the strong men and women that have fought and continue to fight for our country. Many people have joined the armed forces for a better opportunity, to serve our country, or because they have no other choice. These people go on the front line every day and risk their lives for a better nation. There are no words to express my gratitude to these "normal" individuals, who are in fact, HEROES. Today, is your day and I want to remind you of how much you mean to every person in America! I also remember my grandfather and great grandfather, who fought for their own country, (Italy) alongside America during the World Wars. Their survival was an inspiration to many. Unfortunately, there are people who never return. We have to remember these individuals today and every day. America is my home and place of birth. Sometimes, I take this country for granted because of the severity of our situations. I love and express gratitude to every person who has served this country! God Bless You All today and forever! Express your appreciation! They all deserve it!

*Loyalty & a Healthy Marriage*

First off, marriage is a virtue and not a joke. Many people jump into relationships, get engaged, and end in divorce. They ask themselves how they allowed it to happen in their early twenties. They weren't thinking! The values from previous generations have disappeared. Unfortunately, marriage isn't as serious as it used to be. People marry for all sorts of situations, but many don't revolve around love. Today, on the eighth day of November, I expressed my gratitude and admiration for my grandparents. They were married 57 years this past August. It's unbelievable and may seem impossible to people of today's era. Their marriage was based on family values, virtues, beliefs, and most importantly true love. For 57 years, they never cheated on one another. Many people may believe it's impossible, but it isn't. They were raised in an era where broken things were mended and not thrown away. They worked together to raise three children and communication was an asset. Of course, their marriage has many imperfections, but they've never abandoned each other. They've supported and believed in one another. Their values were instilled in my mind and I can only dream of a marriage as perfect as theirs. They're my role models and should be all of America's as well. When you're in a compromising situation, think about how prior generations resolved the issue. Maybe, it's time to step back, go back to the 50's, 40's, 30's, 20's, etc. and take their advice. Life, love, marriage, health, and happiness are the most valuable assets in any individuals life, if they choose to take them. If you aren't ready, step back and evaluate your decision. Don't destroy your life or anyone else's if you know it can't work. Trust in each other, don't cheat, communicate, communicate, communicate, and most importantly, work together!

*How to lose 20 pounds in less than a year.*

BEFORE:
AFTER:
I know there are many of you who struggle with weight every day. Fortunately, I've never been overweight, but in 2008, I started to feel the effects of my unhealthy eating patterns. I gained 20 pounds and kept on the weight in four months. When I turned 20, I decided it was time to get healthy and keep slim. I started a low carb diet. I began to eat a big breakfast, which consisted of oatmeal, fruit, or a low cal muffin, or an egg white omelet. For lunch, I ate a salad with grilled chicken, steak, or salmon with oil and vinegar sprinkled lightly. At dinner time, I ate chicken, salad, a scoop of brown rice, or a salad with chicken, or a piece of fish. For snacks, I ate almonds, chips, etc., but followed the serving size. When I began my experience as a cocktail server at the Seminole Hardrock Hotel & Casino, I weighed 155 pounds. In less than six months, which included exercising two days a week, I weighed 135 pounds. I went from a size large short in my uniform to a size small. My upper body stayed the same shape, but my belly was flat. Most importantly, I never starved myself! I stayed healthy and ate right. Of course, holidays are cheat days. Once a month won't kill you. I avoided all fast food restaurants, such as McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendy's. I haven't eaten at any of them in four years. If you want to lose weight, try my way, the healthy way. It requires dedication and a healthy mind frame. In the end, hard work always pays off. I've swayed away from the complete healthy lifestyle, but have maintained an average wait of 140-145 pounds at 5'8. Be happy, don't waste away in misery. Get healthy!

*What are you grateful for?*

As we approach the beginning of the wonderful holiday season, we should look back and remember everything in our lives we are grateful for. I have seen people put daily things that they appreciate for the beginning of November on social media outlets. I have not attempted to do so because I missed the first day. So, I will begin telling you in thirty words and the meaning of each day of November. This month is appropriate because of the lovely Thanksgiving. The first day of November would have to go to my baby cousin, Annabella, who turned six. It would also correlate to her siblings and all of my cousins. I am grateful for all of you. On the second day of November, I would say I'm grateful for all of the experiences that I have gone through. The weak, the strong, the inevitable, etc. You have made me the person I am today and I wouldn't change anything that I've gone through. On the third day of November, I would have to say I'm gracious for my entire family. There are so many of you that have impacted my life in positive ways. You are my role models and I love you. For the fourth day of November, I dedicate it to my boyfriend Joey. It's his birthday and I'm glad that God put him in my path. He's been the most supportive and understanding person in my life. I couldn't imagine my life without him in it. On the fifth day of November, I dedicate it to Joey's family who are all incredible people that have been so influential in my life these past seven years. Today, I am grateful for my tutoring experience. It's amazing to learn from the precious six year old that I teach. I love to see her accomplishments each day! She is great. Tomorrow, I will post my seventh thing. Think about it. It's never to late to post these things or write them on a piece of paper. It will be fun to read them all out on Thanksgiving. Live and enjoy everything you do. Most importantly, appreciate everything around you! It's here today, but tomorrow, you never know! Go get your grateful words in order! :)

*How the Media Influences Our Lives*

Whether it's CBS, ABC, CNN, NBC, FOX, etc., the news media plays a vital role in our lives. In fact, any type of media influences what Americans think about. People come across media articles or live videos that they browse through or ignore. In the United States, the media is agenda setting. Unfortunately, we are only able to see what our government chooses to reveal. Over the years, the media has become more and more influential in our lives. Unfortunately, it has also become more depressing. As a Communications Mass Media major in college, I've learned all of the trick and rules that the media is supposed to follow. As we all know, rules aren't always enforced and people find a way to violate them. The way the news is portrayed to Americans differs from channel to channel. Sometimes things that are vital are ignored by agenda setters and Americans never know unless they dig through the rubbish. The media tends to over play topics when others are more important. For example, a school shooting occurs and it becomes the topic of discussion for the next month. Other shootings are displayed that happen on a daily basis, while a kidnapping may be ignored. Americans are also restricted on items they are "allowed" to view, while other countries reveal them. In my opinion, the media is as corrupt as our government and politicians. Unfortunately, it's also our only source of information. So, we ignore the "sappy" stuff or store it in the back of our brain and listen for articles that benefit us. The circle continues!

*Do you ever look around and wonder?*

Sometimes, I find myself looking around and wondering about the world. I wonder what my life will turn out to be like. I wonder if all of my dreams will come true. I wonder what things are in store for my future. I wonder what decisions and path I will choose and if it will be the best one. I take every chance I get and live every moment. I may not have the happiest life or lifestyle, but I appreciate it. I hope everything fits into place and I can grasp every opportunity, willingly. From this day forward, I vowe to appreciate every single moment that falls across me. I vowe to give everything a chance and to never give up... I will wonder, but I will also succeed. I choose success, not misery!

*Teaching With Flash Cards*

One of the things I enjoy the most about teaching or tutoring is the use of words and their correlations to pictures. You can break a word up in many different ways. Some things I do to emphasize sounds are underlining letters or drawing smiley faces in double o's. When children have pictures that are friendly or memorable, they are more likely to memorize words and sounds. Children are the most rewarding students. They display their appreciation in many diverse and silly ways. So, if a child has trouble with certain words, break it up, repeat, repeat, and repeat! :)

*Where Can I Shop For A Party?*

Hello everyone! Are you stressed out because you have a party to plan with no preparation? I have an awesome solution for you! Complain no more... Costco is your life savor! Don't have a membership? Get one. It's cheap. They range from $50.00 and up. If you don't have time to cook, buy some frozen hors d'oeurves! They come in bulk packages and are easy and fast to cook. You might think you're spending a fortune, but if you host a huge party, the food portions will definitely fill them up. You can never go wrong with leftovers. In the long run, you have food you can save for weeks. So, don't go to Publix or any other food store, you will spend a fortune for a small portion and most definitely may have to return. Take shopping at your convenience! Good luck!

*Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas*

Oh, the joys of deciding to get your costume last minute. Or maybe, you couldn't afford the pricey deals and wanted to look good on the spooktacular day of the year. It could also be that you were invited to a last minute party and didn't have time to decide on an idea. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I have some great ideas for you! Many of you may think you don't have the ability or the resources to throw a costume together in time, but I'm here to prove you wrong. First, I will start with the ladies. Hello, ladies! I know a lot of you have clothes you don't wear anymore. You hold onto them for sentiment, may have bought them and never wore them, they're out of style, or they were gifts that you wouldn't wear in public, so you save them to not look bad. I have an easy solution. Take those pair of ripped shorts or jeans, ugly blouses, skirts, etc. and put them to the side. You can throw on a corset, a pair of stockings, and some boy shorts. You can call yourself a fashion model, Vegas show girl, etc. If you're not into the sexy look, put on that ugly blouse from aunt Margaret, a pair of ugly pants, and call yourself an old lady. Of course, you'll have to accessorize from then on, but it's easy! If you have some torn shorts, a tank top, and a sexy cowboy hat and boots, you can be a cowgirl. If you want to be a zombie, you can throw anything on. To make up for the fake blood you may not have, use lipstick and powder. If you don't have powder, check your closet for baby powder. It works too! There are plenty of more things you can throw together with a pair of circular earrings (hoops), the right outfit, and hair style to call yourself an 80's girl. I've done it all. I've had a blast. Most important of all, it saves you a lot of cash. Now, let's talk about the gentlemen. I'm sure you have that shirt, sweater, collared shirt, etc. from Aunt Gertrude that you never wear. Throw it on, wear some black pants, tuck it in, put on a belt, slick your hair back, and call yourself a businessman or disaster if you'd like. If you're not into that, find some baby powder, stuck your shirt, and call yourself an old man. Or, you can also be a zombie! Ask mom, your girlfriend, roommate, etc. for red lipstick she doesn't use to splatter blood on your face. Or, if your lucky and nice enough, they may even volunteer to do your makeup! How easy is all of this? I'm sure you can add on to my short list, but I thought I'd be nice enough and offer some ideas. Have a great time at that party and be safe!!!

*How to Teach a First Grader Math*

First off, take away and hide all distractions!
Second off, make sure that you always keep them interested. For example, you could draw animals or symbols to intrigue them. Third off, let them explain what they think signs are and why. When subtracting, use exes, they're less confusing. When adding draw the first number out and add the other to it. Allow students to count the total. Lastly and most importantly, our fingers are our best friends in math. I'm 24 and I still count on them. I have no shame!!!! Make a rhyme while you count! This allows students to actively engage. Pay attention to the way students write their numbers. It's hard for a 6 year old to stay still, make sure you reward them! You can use stickers or a treat. They love everything!

*The Benefits of Threading Vs. Waxing*

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Are you currently a waxer? If so, I urge you to stop. Whether it's your upper lip, eyebrows, etc. waxing caused wrinkles after a long period of time. This may seem unbelievable, but frequent threading may stop hair from reappearing! Where as waxing causes ingrown hairs. If you have sensitive skin, wax is surely a problem. Especially, when chemicals touch the skin! Threading hurts a little more than waxing, but it's totally worth it. If you have small eyes like mine, did you know you're more wrinkle prone? If not, now you do! So stop the waxing, use as many moisturizers as possible and begin the threading!!! Have fun with it and enjoy your beautiful new shape!

*Revelation-Florida School Teacher Possibility*

As most of you know, yesterday I received a rejection letter from a school I put my heart and all into to teach English as a foreign language. First, they accepted me and then a month later, they denied me. My heart was broken. I wanted to give up on everything, but then I thought why would I ever do that? So, a wise friend of mine sent me a text of encouragement and advised me to apply for an educators certificate. Today, I took it upon myself to look it up and go for it. If you're interested in becoming a teacher in south Florida and you have a Bachelor's degree, visit fldoe.org and hit apply here. Don't leave your dreams behind and never give up no matter how low you feel. If it won't work where you want it to, things happen for a reason. It will work somewhere else!

*Is it Ethical?*

Recently, I was told that I had been hired at a company and to prepare myself as soon as possible to come join the team. After a month, I was told that it would be impossible for me to work for them because of government policies and paperwork. Apparently, only a certain amount of Americans can work in the country a year. I would like to bash the company and their ethics, but as an adult, I feel that it wouldn't solve the problem. It's highly unprofessional for a company to send you an email congratulating you and then go back on their word. I've went through the process required and received the grade of an, "A." I wonder what made them tell that I got the job in the first place. Not only did these individuals deny me, they crushed my dreams with one sentence. I know that they will come across this post. My message to them is, "How dare you tell me that my dreams and wishes are impossible to obtain? How dare you offer me a position and tell me that you're glad to welcome me to your team and then go back on your word? How dare you call your company ethical and professional? How do you feel, knowing that you've hurt me? Probably nothing at all. At the end of your day, you still have your jobs and I still have hope. You're lucky I'm an individual of integrity and respect because if not, I would publicly humiliate you!

* The Warmth of Europe* I Miss You!

Have you grown up with a custom kiss on both cheeks? Have you had the opportunity to hug and kiss friends, whether you're a girl or guy on both cheeks? Has gender ever played an issues? If you've grown up in America and live a sheltered life, you may have been raised to allow gender to affect you. It's not socially accepted for men to kiss men on the cheeks. It's unfortunate that this plays a key role in a child's development. If you're from Europe and have had to teach children diverse principles, I'm sure it has broken your heart. When a man greets another man with a kiss on the cheek, I respect him. He's comfortable with his masculinity and self-esteem. Europeans have the best loving greetings. They become unforgettable. We cherish every moment. When you teach your children principles of life, keep this in mind. Don't be ashamed of your heritage and culture! We only live once and should treasure every moment!

*I am Happy to See my Students Learning*

My whole life, I've said I would be many things and I would play make believe. I never thought I'd pursue the teacher role. I remember how scary my teachers seemed and that drove me away. Today, I can say, nothing brings greater satisfaction to my face than seeing my students comprehend something because of me. I have always been a lover of words and language, but who would've thought that I would be teaching it. Last week, I set out to teach English in a frenzy. I was everything, but prepared. It was amazing to watch my students greet me each day in proper English. Learning any language is a struggle, but English has so many rules that it can become confusing. This week, I set up a lesson plan, headed to my students' workplace and handed out various worksheets we went over together. They were amazing and I encouraged them to talk by themselves. I examined their strengths and weaknesses and know what needs more work and what doesn't. Verbs are extremely confusing, but with time, they will get it. We are currently working on the present tense. Tomorrow, we will review it and move on to articles. I don't believe it's necessary to throw everything on them at once. One thing at a time sparks interests. We are all our own mini- geniuses! Be inspired! Never give up! Keep on moving up!!! Wahoo!!!!! I love my students!

*What many of you don't know about me*

Many of you know me, but do you know that I often suffer from panic attacks? Probably not, unless you've read my Facebook posts. Anxiety is caused by stress and uncertainty. At times, I find myself so anxious that my heart beats so fast that it feels like it's going to pop out of my chest. This happens when I think too much or have unhappy thoughts. At other times, nothing provokes my anxiety, it randomly occurs. The worst thing that can happen when panic comes my way is that I puke. I've learned to take deep breaths and control my anxiety by relaxing or laying down. I feel the worst when my throat begins to close up or knot up. Thankfully, I haven't had a full blown panic attack in two years. I do find myself feeling the symptoms, but remember to control my breathing. Concentration is everything.

*Dyslexia- What Every Individual Needs to Know*

Dyslexia occurs when certain parts of the brain cause individuals not to recognize words or symbols. This happens in the area of the brain that breaks up language. Certain cultural and educational problems may cause dyslexia. If a child has issues with reading, it's vital to contact their pediatrician. The earlier the disorder is discovered, the easier it becomes for an individual in the future. If a child has a learning disability, it's important to always give positive reinforcement and let them know they're doing a great job. If not, they may rebel and start acting poorly in school. At times, teachers don't notice when their are issues with children because of large amounts of students. As a parent, it's important to monitor your child as they transition in life. If you notice that they have issues reading, writing, or with math, it's your responsibility to get them the extra help they needs. Learning disabilities may be hereditary, so it's not uncommon for a parent or close relative to have the same issues. Also, more and more people are diagnosed with learning disabilities in later stages of life. If someone has a problem, it doesn't mean their unintelligent. Most of the time, they're smarter than the "normal" individual. They just need more time to process what's happening. So, if you notice a problem, don't fret or be embarrassed! Reach out for a little extra help! No one will judge your child!

*Teaching the difference between confusing letters*

Often, children beginning to read confuse the sounds of words or letters. For example, they mix the lowercase "d" and "b" because they're almost identical, except for the way they face and sound. That is the most common error among young children. Also, when children speak another language, they often confuse the sound of the letter "c" with "s." It's vital that teachers address these issues and give as many examples as they can to help students distinguish the differences. Teaching young children is exhausting, so you must get plenty of rest. Also, it's a refreshment of memory and sometimes they teach you new things too. Take away all distractions and allow them to interact with you as much as possible. Sometimes, they find one object more interesting than another. For example, my expo board has become an obsession. Unfortunately, I have to limit the amount of times it's used because of this and stick to the material at hand as much as I can. Overall, my student is learning differences between adding words and is sounding out all letters. It feels awesome to help and set examples!

*Teaching English as a Foreign Language- My first mini class*

The experience was extremely beneficial for my knowledge and further preparation. I learned that my students are absolute beginners. I thought they knew the basic greetings, but I was wrong. They were familiar with many words and I was able to teach them the proper use of good and well. We also went through the verbs to have and to be. I gave plenty of examples and explained the positive, negative, and question form of the verbs. My mind was a little scattered since it was my first class and I could've provided more exercises. Next time, we will review and move forward. The women are extremely intelligent, but had trouble speaking in only language. I have to teach them to break their habits. The little girl I teach was excellent! She was able to distinguish different sounds, put them together, and spell them out by sole pronunciation. It is awesome and I'm loving it!

First Tutoring/Teaching Experience

This morning, I had the opportunity to tutor a little girl for the first time. I helped her learn new words, sound them out, and fill in the blank sentences. It started off really well. At times, she stunned me. She purposefully sounded words out the wrong way and added extra letters for more time or to avoid the task. I admit, I was a little unprepared because I didn't know what to expect. I noticed that we spent more time talking back and forth. Next time, I will allow her to dictate the class, avoid the "no" word, and review the differences between different letters that look the same. Tomorrow morning, I have the privilege of dictating my first adult class. Hopefully, it goes as smoothly as today and I don't feel intimidated or discourage my class.

*Should I throw it All Away?*

I sat here today pouring my heart out to my best friend. I told her that I seriously considered throwing my book away. I thought nothing in it mattered anymore. If I gave up on the writing, then maybe I should've given up on it. She convinced me not to do it. Today, I've decided to pick up on page 251 and write my heart out. I will complete this novel and I will have it published by next year. I thought about stopping it because it would offend many of my friends. Since the events no longer are vital or active, then it can't hurt anyone. I'm a writer and taking away my pencil and paper was a big mistake... I put everything on hold to think. I pondered about the events of my story and how greatly they've impacted my life. I recall poignant words that I can never forget. Since these pages fill seven long novels of my life, then why must I throw them all away? Why must I push them back. It's beautiful to share my words with the world. Maybe they will reawaken your souls! Mine, has long been dormant. Not because of impossibilities, but because of pain that lingers in me. It doesn't relate to my story, but it corresponds with my world.

*When Will it All End?*

So, we live in a world full of guns, violence, drugs, and etc. Many of us ask when this will it all end? The unfortunate answer is, the world would have to end. We are all guilty of carrying our own demons. We all have our own issues and society is "peaceless." You can only follow your heart and your beliefs. The only guidance a human being has is from the people around them. Make sure you choose a noteworthy individual, with integrity, and honesty to follow examples from. If not, you'll land in a pit of danger. You will become a product of society. We are all products of society. Some things are inevitable and the only ultimatum is faith. Have faith and never cease to believe in every thing you do!!!!!

*How to Naturally Reduce the Pain of a toothache*

Have you recently broke your tooth or developed a nasty cavity? Is your gum swelling up and you want to wrip out your tooth? On my birthday, I was chewing a piece of gum on an airplane and all of a sudden, I felt something crunch. It was my tooth. If you know me, I value my teeth, but I also love sweets. Almost every tooth in my mouth is filled. If you're running through the house and can't find ambesol or orajel, grab a glass of warm water with salt or some peroxide and start rinsing. If that doesn't work, look around for some tea. What can you do with tea? I'm not talking about drinking a cup of tea, silly. Take a mug of water (microwavable) stick a tea bag in there and microwave on high for one minute. Remove the tea from the microwave. Take out the tea bag, squeeze out excess water, and place it directly on the infected area. Leave the tea bag on your tooth for a few minutes. The pain is sure to subside, but you're not in the clear yet! Grab a bag of frozen vegetables or an ice pack and wrap it in a piece of cloth. Place it on your cheek, on and off for an hour. The throbbing should subside for a few hours or it may completely disappear. If it comes back, repeat the process. My mouth feels so much lighter and I can barely sense the ache!

*Why am I uncertain?*

Sometimes, I sit here and ponder about the past. Where did time go? Why haven't I fulfilled all of my goals. The truth is, I'm afraid that this will be it. I'm terrified that I am stuck in this hole of uncertainty. Did I waste all that time and money going through school? Is there more for me out there? I try not to be negative, but I am clueless. I have attempted to find many diverse things, but there is nothing there. I wonder how life will end up for me. When I wake up in the morning and know how my day will end, I become unhappy. It isn't because of the people that surround me, but because I know I am worth so much more. So, I ask myself, why am I in this situation? Why haven't I stepped out of the trap? I have everything to back me up except support. I have gained a new opportunity, but I don't have everyone's blessings. I need knowledge, growth, and experience that everyone can grasp and comprehend. I need to discover who and what I was and am meant to be in my life. For the time being, I have given up doing all of the things that complete my smile. I am no longer writing my book, I am saving my words for later, and I have ceased to look for other opportunities. As I sit here and flip through recent photo albums, I see bags under my eyes. I am tired of this lifestyle, I am exhausted from the lack of self worth, and I deserve more. So, I sit here and pray for another open door, another miracle, and another fate. Why? Because I am worth much more than all of this. So, for now, I will continue to fake a smile, degrade myself, and accept worthless compliments. In the end, I know who and what I am capable of becoming. My intelligence is in my heart. I will keep asking for guidance, have faith, and hope. That is all I can do.

*My Messages & Tips for Young Girls Struggling From Bullies*

Believe it or not, I am a victim of childhood & preteen bullying. Many people in my past tortured me for what I wore, how I looked, and it started from the 3rd grade and ended in the beginning of 8th grade. The most honest thing I can say, is that moving to Florida was the best decision my parents ever made. I went through many different phases in my life. In third grade, I decided that I didn't want to be "popular" anymore. My friends were very upset with me. I started to hang out with a girl that everyone teased. She was my best friend for three years. The things that girls can say to young people in elementary and middle school are heartbreaking. Boys downgrade certain girls because of what the "popular" ones say about them. I was called ugly, disgusting, skinny, flat chested, frizzy haired, and etc. by many people in school. I never defended myself  to avoid confrontation. I always kept to myself and never let it get to me when people who once were my friends destroyed me. It hurt when these people would hang out with me after school, but avoided me while in class to "protect" their reputation. I am unique and I always have been. My style is my own and I am not ashamed of it. It has always been this way. The things that cut through me the most and made me cry everyday at home after school was the name calling. There's only so much a kid can do before they break. I was even accused of serious accusations, which I will not name because people thought I cared about their lives. It got so bad that in 7th grade, I would spend half my time in the nurses office. I would pretend I was sick, so that I didn't have to go to class. She told me that she was tired of seeing me and that I wouldn't pass any of my classes if I spent all my time in her office. Somehow, I couldn't confide in her. I didn't tell her about the people that ridiculed my appearance and the shape of my nose. I didn't tell her about the girls that picked on me and pushed my books down the stairs for no reason. They were despicable and had no excuse! When I moved down to Florida, it was a clean slate for me. People never called me names and most importantly, they respected me as a human being. Yes, for most of you that haven't figured it out yet, I am talking about Nutley, NJ. I love my hometown because it made me who I am today. Many girls can't handle the ridicule I've faced and they take what they think is the best resort. Losing a life gives your bullies satisfaction. Show them you can live. Continue going to school and being yourself. No one has the right to take away your dignity. As an adult, I've gotten the last laugh and deep satisfaction from apologies! Believe it or not, my bullies apologized to me for being jerks! They claimed they were jealous of me. The guys also apologized and some of them even asked me out. I refused most of them. Many people think I'm perfect and don't understand. I am a victim of bullying. It destroyed my self-confidence and self-esteem, but I survived and you can too! If you ever become a victim of bullying and feel that the only way out is death, please contact 866-939-0911 or 18002378255. It's never too late to get help. You are never alone! That's what I felt for so many years, but I wasn't. Don't be weak! Choose your life. It's more valuable than you may believe

*The Process of Obtaining Italian Citizenship*

know many of you have asked me how to get your Italian citizenship. Surprisingly, I don't have it myself. Unfortunately, my father became a citizen of the United States of America in the late 60's and was forced to renounce his Italian citizenship. This was the common casualty of becoming a U.S. citizen. Thankfully, the laws have changed and my father was able to get back what was rightfully his. I couldn't even imagine giving up my citizenship and choosing between the two. It's an extremely difficult decision that many people faced in their American settlements. My maternal grandparents had to make the same painstaking choice. The truth is, no one knew any better. They thought that becoming an American was the best thing that ever happened to them. Here we are, years later, times have changed. It's a privilege to have both citizenships. It's an honor to have any two citizenships in the world. As an Italian American, born to an immigrant father and an American mother, I want what is rightfully mine. I believe that I should have the right to gain my Italian citizenship. The only reason I can't gain it is because my father renounced his over 30 years before I was born. If this has happened to any of your ancestors and you're looking to gain citizenship, it's a three year process. According to the Italian consulate, you must live in Italy three years before requesting citizenship. The only way you're protected is if you are a minor. Attention all parents, I highly suggest that you get dual citizenship for your children. In today's economy and society, it's beneficial when applying for a new job, school, travel, and etc. I absolutely adore Italy and I feel connected to "quella terra" (that ground). I will do anything I can to gain citizenship and opportunities that people across the world thrive for. Your first step is to visit your local consulate website, see if you qualify to apply for citizenship, make an appointment, and bring all potential documents (original and translated) with an apostille.
Best of luck my friends!!!!! I am moving mountains... I wish you the same... Never let go of something you live for!
